Kai Herklotz, most noted for his cunning prowess on the cricket lawn, began his illustrious career as a professional scone-maker at the age of seventeen.  After twelve years of peddling his pastries on the streets of Marburg, Germany, Mister Herklotz tried his hand at amateur skydiving.  An unfortunate collision with a pine tree left Mister Herklotz with a broken arm, leaving him unable to supply the growing scone demand in eastern Germany.  He joined the staff of Exquisite Dead Guy in 1922, serving Miss Teeple and Miss Pulford as the German translator.
